I'm the second child of a family of four kids, and proud to be the first in my family to attend and graduate from college. My family has been the greatest motivation in pursuing a career in health care. I’m happily married and I have a daughter who is almost three and she is my biggest motivation each and every day.She inspires me to keep working hard to finish with my degree. Coming from a Hispanic family has opened my eyes to the struggles that minorities face while seeking an education and also the struggles they face pursuing health care. I have always wanted to help my community and thorough the Health Management and Community Development degree I will be able to. My next goal is to apply to the MPH program at KU or the MPA at WSU in the fall of 2018 or the spring of 2019 that will allow me greater employment opportunities and career advancement, while working towards becoming an expert. My goal after acquiring my Master Degree is to become an executive director for a non-profit organization I know it will take a lot of effort from me and my family, but the best of all I know that I’ll always have the support of my family no matter what I plan to do.
